Today's Subhashita.

अज्ञेभ्यो ग्रन्थिनः श्रेष्ठो ग्रन्थिभ्यो धारिणो वरः |
धारिभ्यो ज्ञानिनः श्रेष्ठा ज्ञानिभ्यो व्यवसायिनः ||

अर्थ -    अज्ञानी या अशिक्षित व्यक्तियों की तुलना में पढे लिखे (साक्षर ) व्यक्ति श्रेष्ठ होते हैं | साक्षर व्यक्तियों में भी वे व्यक्ति उत्तम होते हैं जिनके पास शिक्षित होने की कोई  उपाधि होती है और ऐसे उपाधि धारकों में भी किसी उच्चस्तरीय विषय के ज्ञाता श्रेष्ठ   होते हैं |  ऐसे विशिष्ट ज्ञानियों में भी वे व्यक्ति श्रेष्ठतम  होते हैं  जिनमें अपने अर्जित ज्ञान का व्यवसायिक सदुपयोग करने की क्षमता होती है  |

Agyebhyo granthinah shreshtho granthibhyo dhaarino varah.
Dhaaribhyo gyaaninah shreshthaa gyaanibhyo vyavasaayinah.

Agyebhyo = ignorant or illiterate persons.     Granthinah = well- read or literate persons.
Shreshtho = better,superior.   Dhaarino = persons having some educational qualifications or Degrees.
Varah = best.       Dhaaribhyo = among the Degree holders.    Gyaaninah =  persons having higher  knowledge.           Gyaanibhyoh = among the highly knowledgeable persons.
Vyavasaayinah =   entrepreneurs. i.e. persons who can put to good use or commercially exploit their higher knowledge

i.e.       Well-read and literate persons are better than illiterate or ignorant persons, and among the literate and well-read persons those who possess some special qualification or a Degree are the best. Among such qualified and knowledgeable persons those who have  specialised knowledge of a higher discipline of learning are superior., Even among such highly specialised persons, those who have entrepreneurship skills to put to good use their learning . are  considered as the best.
