आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

एक वृक्षसमारूढा नानावर्णा  विहंगमाः  |
प्रातर्दश दिशो यान्ति का तत्र परिदेवना || महासुभषितसंग्रह

भावार्थ -    एक ही वृक्ष में (रात्रि काल में )बैठे हुए विभिन्न
रंगों  के पक्षी प्रातः काल उड कर दशों (विभिन्न) दिशाओं की
ओर् उड जाते हैं तो इस पर किसी प्रकार की चिन्ता क्यों हो ?

(इस सुभाषित द्वारा प्रच्छन्न रूप से यह तथ्य प्रतिपादित किया
गया है कि पशुपक्षी रात्रि विश्राम के लिये सामूहिक रूप से एकत्रित
हो कर  मेलमिलाप पूर्वक रहते है और प्रातः काल  होते  ही अपने
अपने विभिन्न गन्तव्यों की  ओर प्रस्थान करते है और रात्रि में
पुनः उसी स्थान पर एकत्रित हो जाते हैं  | इस प्रवृत्ति का मानव में
अभाव होता है |   अतः मानव को इस पर चिन्तित  होने की कोई
आवश्यकता नहीं है | )

Eka vrukshasamaaroodhaa  naanavarnaa vihamgamaah.
Praatardash disho yaanti kaa tatra paridevanaa.?

Eka = one     Vrukshasamaaroodhaa = vruksha = tree.
Samaaroodhaa = perched. mounted.    Naanaavarna =
of many colours,    Vihangamaah = birds.   Praatardasha=
Pratah + dasha,     Praatah = morning.    Dash =  ten.
Disho = directions,    Yaanti = go.   Kaa = what.    Tatra=
there,    Paridevanaa = concern , grief.

i.e.    Birds of different hues and colours  assemble and
live ina tree during the night and fly again towards their
destinations in ten directions in the morning. So, why
should any one be concerned over this ?

(The author of this Subhashita has indirectly appreciated
the tendency of birds of various species living together
peacefully during the night . They disperse in different
directions in the morning and again assemble there in the
night.  So, there is no reason for us to be concerned at this.)
