आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

एको हि कुरुते पापं कालपाशवशं   गतः |
नीचैनात्मापचारेण कुलं तेन विनश्यति  || -महासुभषितसंग्रह

भावार्थ -     यदि कोई व्यक्ति अपने जीवन काल में एक भी
पापकर्म करता है तो काल (यमराज) द्वारा दण्ड का भागी होता
है | ऐसे नीच व्यक्ति के द्वारा स्वयं किये गये दुष्कर्मों के परिणाम
स्वरूप  उसका  सारा  कुल (परिवार) ही नष्ट हो जाता है |

(सनातन धर्म में काल (यमराज) को मृत्यु का देवता कहा गया है
और मनुष्य की मृत्यु बाद उसके शुभ और अशुभ कर्मों के अनुसार ही
स्वर्ग या नरक में  उसे स्थान मिलता है | उपर्युक्त सुभाषित में व्यक्त
विचार की सत्यता का प्रमाण विश्व के अनेक  तानाशाहों तथा समाज
विरोधी व्यक्तियों के जीवान वृत्त से मिलता है |  आज उन का कोई
नामलेवा भी नहीं है | )

Eko hi kurate paapam kaalapaashavasham gatah.
Neechainaatmaapachaarena kulam tena vinashyati.

Eko = one.     Hi =  surely,because.    Kurute = does.
Paapam = sinful acts.   Kaalapashavasham = kaalapaasha +
vasham .   Kaalapasha = Yama's noose, death,  ( Yama is
the God of death according to Hindu mythology)
Vasham = succumbs.    Gatah = gone.   Neechaina +aarma+
apachaarena.   Neechaina = by a mean and wicked person.
Aatma = self.   Apachaarena = due to criminal or improper
conduct .     Kulam = the family dynasty.    Tena = therefore.
Vinashyati = destroyed, perishes.

i.e.    If a person commits  even a single sin in his lifetime he
is subjected to the noose of Yama, the God of Death,  Due to
sinful acts done by wicked people their entire family dynasty
gets destroyed in the long run.

(According to Sanaatan Dharma,  Yama is the God of death and
depending upon the good or bad deeds done by people during their
lifetime,  they are assigned the Heaven or the Hell. The veracity
of the above Subhashita can be judged by the fate of numerous
dictators and enemies of society, whose dynasties have disappeared
from this Earth.)
