आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

एतदर्थे  कुलीनानां  नृपाः कुर्वन्ति  संग्रहं  |
आदिमध्यावसानेषु न ते गच्छन्ति विक्रियां || - महासुभषितसंग्रह

भावार्थ -    राजे महाराजे  इसी कारण से  विद्वान और अच्छे कुलों
मे उत्पन्न हुए व्यक्तियों को अपने परामर्शदाता के रूप में  नियुक्त
करते हैं कि उनके व्यवहार में प्रारम्भ में, बीच में तथा अन्त तक भी
कोई विकृति नहीं होती है(और वे सदैव राजा को सही परामर्श देते हैं) |

(तुलसीदास जी ने भी रामायण में कहा है कि - "मन्त्री गुरु अरु वैद्य
जो प्रिय बोलहिं भय आस | राज धर्म तन तीनि कर होइ वेग ही नाश "|
इस कारण इन तीनों व्यक्तियों का चुनाव बहुत समझ बूझ कर करना
चाहिये |)

Etadarthe kuleenaanaam nrupaah kurvanti smgraham.
Aadimadhyaavasaaneshu na te gaccchanti vikriyaam.

Etadartham = etat + artham.    Etat = this   Arthe=  for the
sake of.    Kuleenaanam = noble persons of eminent descent.
Nrupaah = kings.     Kurvanti = do.    Kmgraham = collection.
Aadimadhyaavasaaneshu = aadi+madhya+avasaaneshu.
aadi = beginning.     Madhya = middle.   Avasaanesh = end,
cessation   Na = not.    Te = they.    Gacchanti - undergo.
Vikriyaam = deterioration, change for the worse.

i.e.   Kings choose  learned and noble persons of excellent lineage
as their counsellors, only due to the reason that their attitude and
behaviour does not change  for the worse, right from  the beginning  
up to cessation of  their association with  the Kings.
