कण्टकस्य तु भग्नस्य दन्तस्य चलितस्य च |
अमात्यस्य च दुष्टस्य मूलादुद्धरणं सुखं || - महासुभषितसंग्रह(८३७२)
भावार्थ - शरीर में गडे और टूटे हुए कांटे को , जबडे मे जड से हिले हुए
दांत तथा एक दुष्ट और भृष्ट मन्त्री या सहायक, इन सभी को को उनके
स्थान से जड सहित उखाडने पर ही सुख प्राप्त होता है |
Kantakasya ttu bhagnasya dantasya chalitasya cha.
Amaatyasya cha dushtasya moolaaduddharanam sukham.
Kantakasya = a thorn's Tu = and, but. Bhagnasya = broken.
Dantasya = a tooth's Chalitasya = unfixed, disturbed from its
root. Cha = and. Amaatyasya = a Minister, a companion.
Dushtasya = a corrupt or wicked person's. Molaaduddharanam=
moolaat + uddharanam. Moolaat = from the root or base.
Uddharanam = dislodging, removing. Sukham = happiness.
i.e. One gets relief and happiness from a thorn embedded on
one's body, a tooth disturbed from its root in the jaw, and a wicked
and corrupt Minister or a companion, only after dislodging them
from their their base.
