एवमभ्याहते लोके कालेनाभिनिपीडिते |
सुमहद्धैर्यमालम्ब्य मनो मोक्षे निवेशयेत् ||- महासुभषित सं ग्रह(८०९८)
भावार्थ - इस असार संसार में बुरे समय की मार से पीडित व्यक्तियों
को अत्यन्त धैर्यपूर्वक अपने मन को अन्य सांसारिक गतिविधियों से
हटा कर मोक्ष की प्राप्ति के हेतु केन्द्रित कर लेना चाहिये |
Evamabhyaahate loke kaalenaabhinipeedite.
Sumahaddhairyamaalamvya mano mokhe niveshayet.
Evamabhyaahate = evam +abhyaahate. Evam = thus, really.
Abhyaahate = struck by. Loke = in this world. Kaalenaa-
-bhinipeedite. Kaalena + abhinipeedite. Kaalena = by the
times. Abhinipeeedite = tormented by. Sumahaddhairyamaa-
-lamvya =sumahat +dhairyam+aalamvya. Sumahat= enormous.
Dhairyam = patience, firmness. Alamvya =having the support
of. Mano = the mind. Mokshe = salvation, emancipation.
Niveshayet = divert towards, invest in.
i.e. In this World full of miseries, a person who is passing
through a very tormenting period of his life, should divert his
mind and energies with patience and firmness towards achieving
salvation ( deliverance from the cycle of re-birth).
